Terms of Service

1. The service

Lost and Found Map (“the Service”) is a platform that lets people post lost and found items on a map and connect to return them. We provide the platform only; we are not party to any handover or transaction between users.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be legally able to enter this agreement.

3. Posting & conduct

You are responsible for the content you post and must have the right to share it. Do not post illegal, misleading, infringing, or harmful content, or other people’s personal data without basis. We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach these terms or are reported by the community.

4. Payments

Optional paid features (e.g. unlocking a finder’s contact details) are processed by Stripe. Fees are shown before payment and are generally non-refundable once contact details are revealed, except where required by law.

5. No warranty & liability

The Service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that items will be recovered, that users are who they claim to be, or that listings are accurate. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from interactions between users, meetings, or handovers. Always meet safely in public places.

6. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or terminate access for breaches of these terms.
