Is Lost and Found Map free to use?

Yes. Browsing, searching, posting items, alerts and the whole claim-and-verify flow are free. Optional paid extras are instant contact unlock, listing boosts and guaranteed rewards.

How do I claim a found item?

Answer the finder's verification questions — details only the real owner would know. When the finder approves your answers, contact details are revealed to both of you to arrange the handover.

How do verification questions protect a found item?

The finder sets a question only the true owner can answer (like “what's on the keychain?”). Claimants answer it first, the finder decides who is genuine, and nobody's contact details are shared until a claim is approved.

How long does a listing stay on the map?

90 days. When a listing is close to expiring, the owner can renew it for another 90 days with one tap, free.

Is my contact information public?

No. Contact details stay hidden and are only revealed between the owner and the finder after a claim is approved.

How do rewards work?

Owners can attach a reward to a lost item. With a guaranteed reward, the money is held securely and paid out to the finder after the handover, protected by a one-time handover code.

Which areas does Lost and Found Map cover?

The map works worldwide. It launched in the Netherlands, where most items, venues and events are today.
